Term: What is an Ally?
Definition: An Ally is any Tarleton student, faculty, or staff member who displays an Ally placard outside of their office or residence hall room. The placard plays an important role in the Allies program. This small sign identifies the person as an individual who is willing to provide a safe space, respectful listening, and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
Card 2:
Term: How do I become an Ally?
Definition: Attend our training workshop (known as an Advance). In the workshop, we explore what it means to be an Ally, the specific responsibilities, and the benefits.
