Mission Statement

The Mission of The Academic Advising Center is to encourage all students, through proactive advising, to become engaged in their personal development toward achievement of their academic and life goals. We value the ability of our faculty advisors to relate to the needs and goals of students.

Advising for Spring 2018 NOW AVAILABLE!

  • October 16th- Academic Advising for Spring 2018 Available
  • October 27th- Priority Registration Opens for NCAA Athletes, Texan Reps, Honors, students utilizing VA Benefits, and all other approved populations (Contact Registrar's Office for further clarification)
  • October 30th- Priority Registration Opens for Doctoral, Graduate, Post-Bacc, and Seniors
  • November 2nd- Priority Registration Opens for Juniors
  • November 5th- Priority Registration Opens for Sophomores
  • November 8th- Priority Registration Opens for Freshmen

Please note: Registration is available between the hours of 6am and 11:59pm each day; classification for priority registration is based on COMPLETED hours- not including those "in-progress"

Students planning to graduate Spring/Summer 2018: See your advisor to ensure all requirements will be met for graduation.

The Academic Advising Center is located on the lower level of the Thompson Student Center, Room 34.
