A Brighter Workday is Coming December 17th

Workday Article

Workday is the new Human Capital Management system that will replace our legacy Human Resources and Payroll systems to include LeaveTraq, TimeTraq, iBenefits, HRConnect, and Tarleton Connection (applicant tracking and performance management).

Here are some of the systems features:

  • Access Workday through Single Sign On;
  • A mobile application that can be used on any mobile device and provides access from anywhere;
  • Streamlined process from job creation to hire to separation, seamlessly using one portal;
  • Employee access to pay slips, benefits, time and leave, and compensation history in one easy location; and
  • Direct deposit capability to split a pay check in up to five different checking/savings accounts.

For managers, two additional benefits will be:

  • All actions requiring approval delivered to one central inbox without having to login to multiple systems; and
  • Ability to view their teams and all employment history of each team member in an organization chart format.

Additionally, in September 2018, faculty on nine-month appointments will have 12 months of health insurance premiums deducted over those nine month -- no more summer premium deductions or billings!

Training for Workday began rolling out through TrainTraq assigned courses in mid-September.  Training course assignments will give broad overviews of how the system works as well as specific training to end-users according to their roles: employee, manager, administrative assistant or core HR/Payroll.

Online job aids will be available as needed for users on certain business processes, such as how to create a job, how to post a job, how to change a home mailing address, how to upload a profile picture, how to view a pay slip and much more. Visit our Workday Help site accessible through Single Sign On to view job aids, FAQ's, Workday roles and terminology, and much more.

Internal Job Application Process:

In Workday, by uploading your experience or adding awards and activities, you are building your profile. The more you build your profile, the more information prepopulates when you apply for internal jobs, making the internal application process quick and easy. Watch this short video for instructions on how to apply for a job internally or view the Upload My Experience or Add Awards and Activities job aids for more help.
