Video Services Priority Guidelines - University Branding

The Office of Video Services, part of the Marketing & Communications Department, exists to serve the marketing needs of Tarleton State University.

The strengths of Video Services reside in programming and production, especially for Tarleton’s marketing and branding efforts -- creatively and professionally communicating Tarleton’s Brand, Core Values and Strategies.

Demand for Video Services, given that the office is comprised of one professional and two part-time student assistants, requires a priority listing.

In general, priorities are:

  1. The university’s marketing and messaging initiatives, as set by the President and Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

    1. Brand Marketing and other marketing and communications initiatives, with specific attention to video support for the web, publications and advertising
    2. Legislative Support
    3. Fundraising
    4. Alumni Communication
    5. Special Event Support
    6. Student Recruiting, in support of the Enrollment Management Plan
      1. The Welcome Center and its recruiting efforts, including Texan Tours.
      2. Outreach recruiting initiatives
      3. Graduate Studies recruitment initiatives
      4. Other programs and colleges engaged in specific student recruitment initiatives
      5. University high profile events, including Commencement, Homecoming, building dedications, symposia and fine arts, particularly when events can be used to promote the messages and branding of the university.  This includes streaming of Commencement and other events.
      6. Academic and research profiles
        1. Short pieces to promote the colleges, departments, faculty and students as leaders in their fields or for specific achievements
        2. Student Affairs activities and initiatives
          1. Developing videos to promote the activities and resources available to students and prospects
          2. Produce content for Electronic Signage and video boards throughout campus as requested.
            1. Technical set-up, connectivity or repair issues regarding Electronic signage should be resolved by departments other than Video Services.

Feel free to contact the Office of Video Services. We are glad to hear your ideas, brainstorm about video projects and assist whenever possible.
