The meeting was called to order by SWS President Travis Sagebiel by asking everyone to sign in, pay dues, fill out a membership form, and get a piece of pizza. He then introduced all of the officers and the Wild Game Dinner committee leaders. The committee leaders/officers consisted of:
· Meats: Dawson Lilly (SGA Rep.), Reagan Haynes, and Zac Williams (SGA Rep.)
· Donations: Randi Baldwin (Historian) and Jacquie Glass (COAHS Rep.)
· Advertisement: Megan Zoch (Secretary) and Brooke Williams (Web Manager)
· Night of the Event: Chad Wilson (Vice President)
· Clean Up & Set Up: Everyone available
Travis then announced that Wild Game Dinner Meetings were held in Ag 303 on Wednesday nights at 7pm for anyone interested in helping out. He also announced a few upcoming opportunities for SWS members to join if interested which included:
· Flag Football Team: Contact Alan Matthews & sign up
· Quiz Bowl Practices: Contact Alan Matthews – practice Thursday, October 8, 2009 @ 7pm in Ag 303 (practices are held weekly at this time and place)
After the committees and officers were introduced Travis gave a few announcements for upcoming events around campus that would be beneficial for SWS members to attend. Such events included:
· Bowling for Boobs: Wednesday, October 7, 2009 @ 9pm
· Tarleton Turf Grass Society Golf Tournament: Saturday, October 17, 2009 - $45
After all the announcements for SWS and other organizations were addressed speaker Ricky Linex gave a presentation on how NRCS manages wildlife habitat.
After no further discussion, the club thanked Ricky Linex for coming and speaking to us and Travis adjourned the meeting.
