Dr. Jim Mueller
I am a general vertebrate ecologist. I have studied the spectrum from endangered species to game species of reptiles, birds, and mammals. I am a scientist driven by the interesting question - What effect does X have on Y? The variables I have studied have included the effect of a lake on a riverine snake, the red imported fire ant on northern bobwhite, and anthropogenic effects on biodiversity. Currently, I have a student assessing the effect of mercury on river otters, and I have an interest in measuring the effectiveness of habitat management fornorthern bobwhites.
