Principal Certification -Traditional and Alternative (NCELP)

Program Description

The Principal Certificate (39 semester hours) qualifies one to hold campus-level administrative positions in the school, including principalship. The program is designed to support the continuing professional development of career-oriented individuals and help them to become knowledgeable decision-makers, capable of providing leadership to campus and community. Tarleton offers both a traditional certification program and an alternative certification program. The alternative certification program, called the New Century Educational Leadership Program (NCELP) uses a cohort model and enrollment is restricted to cohort members.
