The Greater Tarleton Annual Fund

The Greater Tarleton Annual Fund is the annual giving program administered by the Annual Giving Officer in the Office of Development.  The Greater Tarleton Annual Fund Drive reaches alumni, faculty/staff, and friends of the University through direct mail and phonathon efforts.  Gifts to the Greater Tarleton Annual Fund are unrestricted, and as such, are used to meet the greatest needs of the University.  Such gifts provide funds for student scholarships, for faculty enrichment, and to enhance academic programs.

Greater Tarleton Annual Fund Drive components:

Direct Mail Campaign

The Direct Mail Campaign is mailed out annually in the fall to all Tarleton State University alumni.  This campaign allows Tarleton alumni to make a gift by returning the pledge card along with their gift.

Reunion Gift Campaign

The Reunion Gift Campaign provides Tarleton State University alumni an opportunity to give a financial contribution to the University in honor of their graduating class.  The campaign specifically targets the class celebrating their 50th class reunion.

Phonathon Campaign

The Phonathon Campaign is held in both the fall and spring semesters.  Current students are professionally trained to call Tarleton alumni and interact with them, as well as ask for donations for the Greater Tarleton Annual Fund Drive. 

Faculty/Staff Campaign

The Faculty/Staff Campaign is held annually in the spring semester.  Current Tarleton faculty and staff are invited to make a contribution to the University through the Greater Tarleton Annual Fund.  The Annual Faculty/Staff Campaign allows university employees to demonstrate their loyalty to Tarleton as an institution by investing through financial gifts. The campaign provides the opportunity to focus and highlight campus-wide projects and collectively demonstrates the extra level of caring and effort put forth by devoted university employees.

In 2008, approximately 67% of employees gave to the campaign.
