Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi is an International Honor Society for Education and requires a 3.0 GPA and either eligible for or already admitted to the Teacher Education Program

TIMS

The Teaching Interns with Mentor Support program was begun in 1997. TIMS provides an opportunity for highly qualified Tarleton students who have completed all certification and degree requirements except student teaching to begin working as a full-time teacher. TIMS interns are hired by a school district and receive support and supervision from a mentor teacher located on the intern’s campus as well as University supervision. 

TMATE

The Tarleton Model for Accelerated  Teacher Education (TMATE) program  helps highly motivated people who already have a bachelor's degree become certified teachers in Texas. 

ESP

Initiated in 1988, Tarleton State University's Effective Schools Project (ESP) has evolved into one of the nation's largest and   longest-running school-improvement ventures. With the Effective Schools research   as its foundation, ESP us a school improvement network linking the Tarleton   faculty with campus leadership teams from over fifty Texas schools in an ongoing   effort to enhance school effectiveness. Since its inception, ESP has partnered   with 216 different public schools campuses and Education Service Centers to provide comprehensive professional development opportunities for educators.
