Texan Orientation Summer 2008 Congratulations on your acceptance to the University! As the first step in helping make the transition into the Tarleton family, every incoming freshman is expected to attend a Texan Orienation conference. During. Texan Orientation, you have the opportunity to become acquainted with your new University. Through the sessions you meet one-on-one with an academic advisor, register for fall classes and learn about university life. Attending orientation is an advantage. You register early for classes and avoid fall registration that is open to all students not previously registered. This means more available classes, convenient class hours and individual advisement. These activities are easier with individual attention. Financial aid representatives will be available to check the status of your aid and discuss issues. Counselors will assist you if you're investigating financial aid for the first time. Eligibility Requirements Transfer students with less than 30 hours and first-time freshman attending Tarleton State University during the fall 2008 semester are expected to attend Texan Orientation and Texan 2 Texan. Transfer students with 30 or more hours are eligible to attend Transfer Orientation. These transfer students receive a separate mailing.
