About Our Planetarium

The Tarleton Science Planetarium is an integral part of our new Science Building which opened in April 2001. It is a state-of-the-art facility under a 40' (12.192m) dome. Our presentation equipment features a Digistar II digital starfield projector (one of about forty in the US), and includes 18 photographic slide projectors, 2 video projectors and surround sound. The 64-seat theatre is truly a fitting environment in which to explore the wonders of the universe.
