Show Synopsis
"Through The Eyes Of Hubble"
Join narrator Gates McFadden (Star TrekThe Next Generations Dr. Beverly Crusher) in this 42-minute journey, which chronicles the first year of science after the first repair mission to the Hubble Space Telescope. Explore distant galaxies, stand perilously close to the edge of a black hole, and relive Comet SL-9s encounter with Jupiter. Witness the birth and death of stars and follow the mission from the dramatic nighttime launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavour to its successful re-deployment of the telescope. Already adapted by planetariums in 17 countries and translated into 13 different languages, this program was produced in cooperation with the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. "Through The Eyes Of Hubble" was the first show we presented here at the TSU Planetarium. It was produced by the Henry Buhl, Jr. Planetarium in Pittsburgh, PA. The excellent production values of the show take full advantage of the equipment in our planetarium and provide an unequalled astronomical experience. We're very proud to be able to present this fine production as our first show at the Tarleton Science Planetarium. |
