               Responsive to the needs of rural communities and the large

               Hispanic population in North Central Texas,

               the mission of the Tarleton State University Social Work

               Program  is to prepare competent and effective generalist

               social work practitioners who are committed to enhancing the

               well-being of diverse,  marginalized,  and  oppressed

               populations.
