This year's Symposium will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007 in the Science
Building.
Students in all departments and disciplines from all TSU campuses are encouraged
to participate in the Student Research Symposium. Graduate, as well as
undergraduate students can give presentations.
The research need not be completed, but can be in progress.
Presentations may be oral or poster.

Oral presentations should be PowerPoint presentations limited to 12 minutes with 3 minutes for questions and answers. |

Poster presentations should cover a maximum area of 4ft. X 8ft. There will be scheduled times for poster presenters to present their work to the judges and respond to questions. |

Only one person should present each oral or poster presentation, although several authors may be listed. |
Membership in Sigma Xi or the Presidential Honors Program is NOT required,
although student members are encouraged to participate.
Cash prizes will be awarded to first and second place in both
graduate and undergraduate categories for oral presentations and for the top two
posters overall, $100 to first place
and $50 to second place. Presentations will be judged on both
the quality of the abstract and the presentation.
