Jack P. Russell, Ph.D., CCP

Dr. Russell is a Regents Professor of The Texas A&M University System and is a member of the CIS faculty at Tarleton State University.  As Regents Professor, Dr. Russell hold the highest single rank as a professor at Tarleton.  He holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas, and MS inDr. Jack Russell Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a BS in Business from Tarleton State University.  Dr. Russell holds the CCP (Certified Computing Professional) certificate from the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP).

Dr. Russell has been active with AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals)  for many years having served as President (as well as Executive Vice-President and other offices) with the Fort Worth AITP chapter.  He was the 1996 AITP National Collegiate Chairperson, and is currently the 1998 President of AITP--EDSIG (the educator arm of AITP).

Dr. Russell is the author of a successful textbook:  Business Programming Logic and Design, Second Edition by Addison Wesley Publishing Company.

Dr. Russell is also the Director of Advanced Systems Development at Tarleton where he is responsible for teaching ICASE and the Integrated CASE laboratory where the students build Integrated CASE/Client/Server/Windows-Based/Web-Deployable systems.
