Compliance Overview

The Compliance Certificate Report (CCR) is Tarleton State University's review of compliance issues on a variety of topics which culminated in a very thorough self-evaluation for each of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS/COC) Principles of Accreditation . The SACS Reaffirmation of Accreditation review will be conducted off-site in Fall 2009 and on campus with a Site Visit Team on March 23-25, 2010. The CCR is one element of the SACS Reaffirmation of Accreditation process.

Viewers will find each of the Principles of Accreditation followed by a judgment of Tarleton's current compliance status with a narrative document supporting the judgment determination within the CCR. Documentation for such determination is embedded within the narrative and is also supplied at the end of each narrative section under a "Supporting Documentation" section. The current compliance judgments have been reviewed by a Compliance Committee team of faculty and staff members working on the CCR since Spring 2007. The Compliance Committee has had the opportunity to review all sections relating to Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and Federal Requirements and to gather the necessary documentation which verifies compliance with the SACS Principles.
