Tarleton State University Alumni Tarleton State University has been educating men and women to serve in the United States Army since the beginning of the early 1900's. The ROTC program is the oldest organization here at Tarleton State University. During this time, many strong bonds and friendships have developed. Tarleton State University has Commissioned some of the best military officers to serve in the Armed Forces.
