Federal Government
Grants.gov provides information about all federal grant opportunities. The database is searchable by federal agency, CFDA number, project number, and keywords.
The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) lists funding opportunities by CFDA number.
Foundations
The Foundation Center provides free minimal high level information about foundations nationwide. Access to detailed information is available by paid subscription.
The Non-Profit Resource Center of Texas provides information about Texas foundations. Call the Office of Sponsored Projects (x. 9463) to obtain subscriber log-on information.
Texas State
K-12 Education: The Texas Education Agency funds research studying aspects of K-12 education.
Post-Secondary Education: The Texas Higher Education Coodinating Board funds research studying post-secondary education, bridge programs to prepare students for post-secondary education, pilot tests and implementations of innovative educational approaches, and other reserach and service programs depending on legislative priorities.

The Office of Proposal Development maintains a list of funding opportunities from both public and private sources.
Tarleton
University Research Committee: The University Research Committee's objective is to develop the university's research efforts, improve its research accomplishments, and enahnce the university's and faculty's visibility within the academic community. University Research Committee members are faculty representing each College. Applications for funding typically are due in late summer or early fall.
