PICOS Residential College
At Tarleton State University, the PICOS participants are provided rigorous academic programs with caring faculty and small class sizes. To compliment this attention, Student Success Programs in collaboration with the PICOS faculty and staff have created a Residential College specifically to meet the needs of the PICOS participants. The Residential College is a living-learning community that will provide academic assistance—right where you live! Library Liaison, Advisors, Residential Leaders, faculty and staff will work personally with you to guide you through the curriculum as well as closely monitor and mentor your development as a mathematician. The PICOS Residential College will enhance your opportunities as you proceed to graduation.
The Residential College, a collaborative effort between Academic Affairs, Student Life, and the PICOS faculty and staff will foster a inclusive, purposeful community that enhances student learning, encourages independent thought, and embraces a diversity of ideas through a common residential experience, group course scheduling, and intentional educational programming. Through the use of a “block” schedule and residing with the same classmates in Crockett Hall for two semesters, the benefits of the program are magnified.
