Scope of Work: Project initiated Estimate cost of various modular office buildings with the cost of purchasing and leasing with a minimum of a three year lease.
Status: Bob has cost estimate on modular building. Cost estimate has been developed and forwarded to Mr. Graham. Unable to move forward with this project until buildings on site have been moved. Kent thinks we may need to have asbestos abatement done on the white house - the rock house has already been sold.

10-08-0009 Lighting System Replacement Horse Lab

Scope of Work: Project initiated. Install new vapor-proof T8 fluorescent lighting that is pendant-mounted. Replace lighting in the tack rooms, storage rooms, and apartment with compact fluorescent and standard fluorescent lighting. Upgrade class laboratory space and restroom with T8 design.
Status: Gary Raymond is waiting on final drawing and light selection from Steve Bowman.

Scope of Work:Rehab 1455 SF for police, 1815 SF for PE offices, 1667 SF for ROTC.
Status:Two his project: Sports Information office and Police Office Expansion. Will have to remove old AHU unit, install new one in racquetball courts. Stamped drawings and plans will be complete by 11/21/08. final pricing from Alpha due by 11/24/08. If approved, construction will being over Christmas holiday or January 1, 2009.

10-08-0006 Install Concrete Sidewalk West Jones & Rome

Scope of Work: Install 6' wide concrete sidewalk and ramps, as required, to promote pedestrian safety leading to and from the new Recreation Center. To include lighting also.
Status:Traffic signs outside Police Station were reinstalled; project is complete. Dr. Mercer wants to go forward with Phase II of project, with sidewalks down Rome Street. Waiting on direction on this additional work.

08-07-0059 Telecommunication Infrastructure Project

Scope of Work: Up-grade Telecommunication Infrastructure.
Status:The initial project has been completed and we are awaiting Future Com to complete. Aaron spoke with Mike Williams on August 14th. He stated he was waiting for his new cabinet to arrive. Once the cabinet is ready, Future Com will come and install the wireless system in 5 days. The new completion date will be September 30, 2008.

12-08-0014 Stenholm Office Mock-up

Scope of Work: Design and build a mock-up of Senator Charles Stenholm's office in the lobby of the Tarleton Center. The area will be surrounded by plexi glass for viewing. The project has President McCabe's approval.
Status: Prtesident Dottavio is reviewing the project to determine if this is the final location. He will also meet with Dr. Robitalle to review her concerns. Waiting on his approval and/or direction.

10-08-0009 Roof Restoration Central Receiving Warehouse

Scope of Work: Inspect standing seam roof, flashing and gutters. Recaulk and replace damaged screws. Exterior primer and paint. Metal repair related work.
Status: There is a small leak over the warehouse entry door (3'x&'). Merit will be on compus to review over the next three weeks. Beth has asked that the skylights be kept. Alpha will do some further checking for clip-on grills for fall protection.

01-08-0020 Replace Exterior Lighting @ Rec Sports

Scope of Work: Remove sub-standard contractor installed exterior lighting and install the Tarleton campus standard exterior lighting at the newly constructed Recreational Sports Building.
Status: Trae Oliver has come up with a factory solution to construct the block out ring. Trae is also looking at the cost to replace the entire head only. This may actually be cheaper due to the high pressure sodium upgrade. The labor savings could be substantial.

02-08-0028 Demolition of Old Dining Hall

Scope of Work: Demolition of structures, foundations, and piers down to 2 to 3 feet below grade. Remove and fill basement (based on 4,000 SF). Remove parking areas where applicable. Haul off and dispose of debris in a legal manner. Site left in clean condition. Demolition permits.
Status: The walls sealing the steam tunnel will be completed today. Contractor continues to backfill basement. The steam pipe has been installed, with saw cutting completed on 12/15/08. The roadway is coming out, except for an 8' walkway, to be completed by 12/24/08. Gene cautioned contractor again to be mindful about steam lines and lighting circuits. Will be bringing in select fill to sod, will seed bermuda and rye, so that area can be done at once. Scope of Work: Construct a CMU tile with brick facade enclosure around the existing equipment.
Status:Concrete pad poured bulged in front. The area was removed and will be re-poured this week. Brick work to start 11/24/08. We will prepare an in-house change order and memo documenting why project is delayed.

Scope of Work: Installation of new submersible power unit to replace existing power unit, remove existing door operator and replace with linkages, provide new hoist way doors for all entrances with baked enamel painted finish; provide new interlocks, closers, hanger, tracks rollers, and door gibs.
Status: Work is going on, have till the 22nd to finish. Contractor should be able to finish without a problem.

Status: Furniture is due to be delivered on 9/24/08. Tables and chairs in two classrooms were completely replaced, with swing arms removed from chairs in another classroom.

06-08-0046 Rehab Athletic Irrigation Storage Tank

Scope of Work: Determine cost and feasibility to either replace tank or install bladder.
Status: Alpha proposal to replace tanks was received 11/16/08. Will prepare a draft C-1 for funding to send to Mr. Graham. Terry will prepare cost to detach plumbing and get cost to replace pump on Tank 1. Several staff have suggested using the same make and model of VFD pump as on Tank 2, as it has performed well. Terry will also have a PM work order set up to do monthly test of the tank water.

Scope of Work:Project will include the rehabilitation of flooring, painting the facility and replacement of certain classroom furnishings.
Status:This project is on a tight schedule, and must be complet by the start of classes on January 12, 2009 Paint on first floor and second floor hallways is complete. Carpet is on schedule, furniture arriving 1/9/09, to be assembled by KI. There are asbestos issues in two rooms. Karl Easterling will be moving AV equipment out of five rooms as soon as finals are over. The date lines in these rooms will be move to the oposite wlll, and ther may be some electrical needs. Additional smart boards are being installed in these rooms.
