hereinafter referred to as the Student, a geoscience major at Tarleton.

The Department of Chemistry & Geosciences enters into this agreement with the Sponsor so that the Student will have an opportunity to acquaint himself/herself with everyday operations of the Sponsor and to learn specific tools/tasks/operations. It is expected that the student will participate in activities not just be a passive observer, but be able to actively participate in work activities.

Below please list the tasks/training/field operations the student will be working with/in (please be explicit and outline in detail)

Tarleton State University through the Department of Geosciences agrees to award three semester unit credits to the Student upon satisfactory completion of an internship program beginning __________ (date) and terminating __________(date). The student will spend a minimum of 135 hours working with the sponsor for this internship.

The Student agrees to prepare a comprehensive written report explaining the activities in which he/she has been engaged. An oral report of intern activities will also be presented by the student during the interview conducted by the geosciences faculty at Tarleton.

The first draft for review is due in the office of the Internship Advisor not later than four weeks before the end of the semester in which credit is to be awarded.. The grade (A, B, C, D, F, or K) will be jointly determined by the Sponsor and academic advisor.

THIS AGREEMENT NULL AND VOID IF UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION ARRANGEMENTS ARE NOT COMPLETED.
This agreement may be terminated at any time by mutual consent of the Sponsor, Student and academic advisor.
