Panhellenic Recruitment

Recruitment is a week long process for non-Greek women to learn what Greek Life has to offer.  It’s an opportunity to witness Sisterhood, great Scholarship, and Philanthropic Events.  Through participation you will meet a diverse group of distinguished ladies.  The Ladies uof Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Zeta,  and Phi Mu would like to encourage you to take part in this very exciting event!

You may begin registering June 1, 2009 through online registration. All current TSU students must have a 2.5 GPA or new TSU students a 85% average high school GPA.

All potential new members must complete Part I of Alcohol EDU to be elgible to participate in the recruitment process.

If you have any questions or problems registering please contact at the listings below or visit our Recruitment table August 24-28th.  We will be in front of the Library from 8:00am until 1:00pm and on the main floor of the Thompson Student Center from 1:00pm until 5:00pm. 

Registration Fees

There will be a one time, non-refundable registration fee of $15.00 payable online.  If you choose to pay online, you may do so with a credit card or checking account, a small administrative fee will be charged to your account. You may pay by cash or check at the Panhellenic Recruitment Table.

Schedule of Events


August 24 —August 28th

Time: 1:00 p.m.— 5:00 p.m. for

Event: Pictures

Place: Thompson Student Center

Purpose and Dress: Potential new members must have their picture taken on one of these days.  Dress is casual. All Pictures must be taken by Friday August 28th.


Tuesday, September 1

Time: 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.

Event: Prospective Member Orientation

Place: Thompson Student Center Ballrooms

Purpose and Dress: Potential new members become acquainted with one another and are assigned to their Recruitment Counselor.  Pizza party to follow, dress is casual, no shorts please.


Wednesday, September 2

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Event: 1st round party—Philanthropy Night

Purpose and Dress: During this party, chapters will host the potential new members.  Dress is business casual, no denim.


Thursday, September 3

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Event: 2nd round party—Fun Night

Purpose and Dress: During this party, the women will explain more about their chapters and sorority life.  Dress is business casual, no denim.


Friday, September 4

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Event: 3rd round party—Preference Night

Purpose and Dress: This night is the most important and involves a more elegant dress.


Saturday, September 5

Time: 8:00 a.m.

Event: Bid Day

Purpose and Dress: This is the morning that the potential new members open their bids and find out which chapter they have been invited to join.  Dress is casual.
