Human Resource Management

The Bachelor of Business Administration degree in human resources management prepares the student to enter one of the fastest growing areas of business-related work.. The program includes the University core courses, the College of Business Administration core courses, and 24 hours in human resources management courses, including: 

  • human resources management
  • human relations in management
  • creating productive relationships
  • wage and salary administration
  • recruitment, selection and placement
  • human resources development
  • employee and labor relations 
The Master of Science degree in human resources management is designed to improve the strategic, technical, and interpersonal skills of professionals engaged in the management and development of human resources. This program provides both the public and private sectors with human resource managers capable of assuming senior leadership positions. 

Students have the opportunity to join the local and national associations of the Society for Human Resources Management. This professional organization promotes opportunities to meet and network with professionals from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, the Killeen/Central Texas area, as well as Stephenville. Students are encouraged to seek recognition as certified Professionals in Human Resources (PHR). The first step of the national certification process, the Human Resources Certification Institute comprehensive exam, may be requested by students and recent graduates who are within one year of completing their educational program. Full PHR certification is awarded upon successful completion of the HRCI exam and exempt-level work experience.
