students and employees have free University-provided email service, but
must activate the accounts by claiming their network usernames and passwords.

| WEBCT: Online Course Tool |
| WebCT
is primarily used in the online classes at Tarleton State University and
requires a login username and a password. Access to WebCT course materials
is restricted to students currently registered for the class they are trying
to access through WebCT. Usernames are set to be your Tarleton network username (the same one used for WebMail). Your initial password is "Capital "K" and the first 7 digits of your social security number. You need to change your password after you log on the first time. Each instructor determines the material included in the online materials. Therefore, online course materials vary based on class needs and instructor preferences. | WebBoard is
used
in several classes at Tarleton and gives the instructor and students in
