The Periodicals department is responsible for ordering, cataloging, processing, and preserving periodicals, including microform, in the Tarleton State University Libraries. In addition, the department provides access to electronic journals through the Stephenville online catalog and subject lists.  The department also maintains and updates periodical information in the online catalog. The Periodicals department utilizes SFX, a shared databases with other Texas A&M Systems universities to help provide access to electronic journals. Using SFX you may search for e-journals by both title and subject. Each campus has a public service area to provide access to paper periodicals and maintains copiers and microform reader/printers for patrons who wish to make copies.   The public service phone number at Stephenville is (254) 968-9867.

In Stephenville, most periodicals published before 1980 are in remote storage.  These journals can be requested at the Periodicals Service Desk or online using the form below.  Requests should be made 24 hours in advance.  Items can usually be picked up at the Periodicals Desk the following day.
