Agriculture Links

AgNIC - is a guide to quality agricultural information on the Internet.  They were selected by personnel at the National Agricultural Library, land-grant universities, and other institutions.

Agricultural Economics - from the Texas A&M University Department of Agricultural Economics, links to international agricultural information.

Agronomic Links Across the Globe - exhaustive listing of agronomic sites on the internet;

AquaNIC - is a guide to quality aquaculture information on the Internet. 

Beef Cattle Resources - extensive listing of cattle sites on the Internet;

Breeds of Livestock - best site for information on breeds of all kinds of livestock including cattle, horses, goats, swine, and poultry;

CropLife America - is a trade association representing the manufacturers of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals.

Extension Digital Information Source (EDIS) -  contains over 4,000 publications related to agriculture, natural resources, the environment, and human and rural development and is updated twice a week; a service of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences.

GardenWeb - information on gardens of the world, wildflowers, and a forum to question other gardeners.

Internet Resources for Agriculture – from the University of Delaware Library Subject pages, useful links to resources in all disciplines of agriculture.

Livestock Library - provides links to markets, publications, events, software, etc.

National Agriculture Library - access the library's catalog, search journal databases, and follow internet links.

National Agriculture Pest Information System - searchable database of agricultural pests.

North American Riding for the Handicapped (NARHA)-premier organization for therapeutic riding for individuals with disabilities.

Texas Pest Management Association  - is the only statewide, multi-commodity, non-profit, producer organization in Texas dedicated to the development and implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.

United States Department of Agriculture - international news and national agencies, services (including research and statistics), programs and offices in the USDA and links to federal directories; browse by subject or use the site-specific search engine; the current fact book link is usually at the bottom of the USDA home page.

WebGarden  - from the Ohio State University, resource links include: a factsheet database on horticulture and crop science from the United States and Canada, searchable by region; the Plant Dictionary, a searchable database of 1,645 high quality images and horticultural descriptions for 385 unique species; and excellent information on plants and agriculture specific to Ohio.
