WorldCat - (in FirstSearch) Database of books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.

Academic Search Complete - Geology journals in this database include: Basin Research, Geophysical Journal International, Journal of Geology, and Sedimentology.
Annual Reviews (full text content 1996-present) - authoritative reviews in the Biomedical, Physical, and Social Sciences. Annual Reviews publications are and have been among the most highly cited in scientific literature.
Applied Science and Technology Abstracts (1993-present) - Offers abstracts and citations to articles in over 485 scientific and technical publications. Special issues such as buyers' guides, directories, and conference proceedings are also included.
Cambridge Scientific Abstracts - coverage includes the life sciences, environmental and aquatic sciences, computer sciences, materials science and engineering, aerospace, social sciences, and humanities.
Digital Dissertations - The database includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester. Citations for dissertations published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. The full text of more than one million of these titles is available in paper and microform formats. Institutional subscribers to ProQuest Digital Dissertations receive on-line access to the complete file of dissertations in digital format starting with titles published from 1997 forward.
GeoRef (1785 to present) - Acts as a guide to materials in geology and earth sciences. Provides access to global geoscience literature, includes abstracts, and contains references to journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports, and theses. Journal titles include AAPG Bulletin, AAS Science and Technology Series, Baylor Geological Studies Bulletin, and World Geophysical News.
GrayLIT Network - A portal for technical reports that provides access to over 100,000 full-text technical reports located at the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Collections in the GrayLIT collaboration include the DOE Information Bridge, the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) Report Collection; the EPA National Environmental Publications Internet Site (NEPIS); the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab Reports; and the NASA Langley Technical Reports.
Ingenta (1988-current) - Multidisciplinary database offering article summaries from over 20,000 publications and links to full text of over 4,500 titles. Using subject links like "Earth and Environmental Science" on the database's homepage allows more subject-specific searches. Full-text search results link directly to articles housed in other databases or to information about purchasing the article. Journal titles include Marine Geology, Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research, Quaternary Science Reviews, and Earth and Planetary Science Letters.
MathSciNet - is a comprehensive database covering the world's mathematical literature since 1940. MathSciNet provides Web access to the bibliographic data and reviews of mathematical research literature contained in the Mathematical Reviews Database.
Nature - the database that searches all of the journals from the Nature publishing group.
ScienceDirect - Provides full-text or abstract coverage of a wide spectrum of disciplines including chemistry, materials science, engineering & technology, environmental science, physics, computer science, and earth sciences. Journal titles include Journal of Structural Geology, Marine Geology, Engineering Geology, and Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research.
SpringerLINK - is one of the world's leading online information services for scientific, technical, and medical (STM) books and journals.
Wiley Interscience - full text database which includes journals and reference sources in the sciences and the social sciences. Try the "earth sciences" for a subject search or do keyword searching.
