Find BOOKS, DOCUMENTS, REPORTS, JOURNAL TITLES, AV MATERIALS:

Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog -  Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Keyword searching is available.

WorldCat -  through FirstSearch Core. Descriptions of  books and other materials in libraries worldwide.  More than 32 million records are also linked to the names of the libraries owning these titles.  If neither Tarleton Library owns a title, it may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.

Aviation Law Reports  - a full-text reporter of U.S. Federal and State court decisions in a loose-leaf format that permits updating over several current years.  Found in the Killeen Library’s Law Library Room.

Aviation Cases  -  the permanent bound format of decisions that appeared in the loose-leaf reporter form.  Released every three years to replace the Aviation Law Reports sheets and also shelved in the Killeen Library’s Law Library Room.

Aviation Tort Lawa subject arranged set with cumulative supplements.  Research reference sources cited include American Law Reports and American Jurisprudence.

Academic Search Complete and Business Source Complete - Two Ebsco Company databases that can be searched at the same time.  Management and computers are two topics that can be combined with aviation for specific results.  Examples of Aviation journals are: Aviation History, Flying Safety, and Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Applied Science and Technology Abstracts - through Ebsco.  Indexes topics on management, computer science and aviation.  Articles on Aviation can appear in such journals as Business & Commercial Aviation and National Underwriter.  Results may be linked to full-text articles in Periodical Abstracts database.  Related links to the Wilson Select Plus database may also be shown.

Digital Dissertations - The database includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester. Citations for dissertations published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. The full text of more than one million of these titles is available in paper and microform formats. Institutional subscribers to ProQuest Digital Dissertations receive on-line access to the complete file of dissertations in digital format starting with titles published from 1997 forward.

IEEE Xplore - coverage includes: IEEE journals, transactions, letters, and magazines from 1988 with select content back to 1952, IEEE conference proceedings from 1988 with select content back to 1953, IEEE standards from 1988, IEE journals, letters, and magazines from 1988, and IEE conference proceedings from 1988.

Institute of Physics - database of journals from the Institute of Physics that goes back to the Nineteenth Century.

Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe - Legal, Medical and Business database that includes numerous aviation law cases.

Science Direct - Web database for scientific research that contains the full-text of more than 1,000 Elsevier Science journals on many scientific topics including aviation.

SpringerLink - is one of the world's leading online information services for scientific, technical, and medical (STM) books and journals. SpringerLink is a preferred data source for researchers in academic and corporate institutions and other vital knowledge centers.

Wiley Interscience - Online full-text content from John Wiley and Sons, Inc. of over 300 journals and major reference works in the science, technology and medical fields.

Find INTERNET SOURCES: including professional Societies and Organizations, Jobs, Employment, and Internships.

Aviation Safety Network - Private individuals maintain this review of official reports of accidents and safety issues of airliners (aircraft carrying 14+ persons). Link to "Database" to see the ASN Aviation Safety Database with its weekly update of aircraft safety occurences since 1943. Airlines, military transports and corporate jet aircraft are all listed. Accident reports can be searched by type, country, cause, and year.

U.S. Department of Transportation - Go to DOT Agencies to see the Bureau of Transporation Statistics and the Federal Aviation Administration. The link from Jobs & Education leads to the FAA Academy and to FAA Aviation Education.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) - Provides links to Regulations & Policies [Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (e-CFR)]; and to Education & Research (Scholarship and Grants are listed).

Bureau of Transportation Statistics - This site links to the Journal of Transportation and Statistics, a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal and to "Airline On-Time Statistics."

University Aviation Association - A non profit organization representing institutions, corporations, faculty and students interested in collage aviation.

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association(AOPA) - Provides various services to their members including advocacy before Congress. AOPA Pilot Magazine and the AOPA ePilot newsletter are online on this site.

Air Line Pilots Association(ALPA) - An international union representing more then 67,000 airline pilots at 47 airlines in the U.S. and Canada. Articles from ALPA's official magazine Air Line Pilot are linked at this site.

National Business Aviation Association, Inc.(NBAA) - A trade association representing the interests of owners of general aviation aircraft. Over 6100 companies are members. Connect to their education area for information on various types of scholarships.
