Masters of Science- Educational Psychology

This program is designed to help students meet both state and national standards for the field of School Psychology. The State of Texas requires licensure as a LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) to work in public schools. The LSSP is issued by the State of Texas and requires a graduate degree in psychology. Tarleton helps students meet all requirements of the license.

The National equivalent to the LSSP is known as the NCSP (Nationally Certified School Psychologist) and is an accreditation given by N.A.S.P. (National Association of School Psychologists). We know that many of our graduates will seek employment in other states and are committed to helping our students receive all required coursework to allow them to practice in every state in the nation.

Tarleton State University requires that students complete either 63 or 66 hours to earn a Masters of Science in the School Psychology Program. Click here to see a sample degree plan. Tarleton is currently accepting applications for this program. Contact Dr. Coady Lapierre for application information.
