Donna grew up
near Stephenville, Texas, and
was a 1974 graduate of Tarleton. She received her MA from the
University
of Nebraska-Omaha and her doctorate from Texas A&M-Commerce. She
has
taught at Ranger College, Texas State Technical College, and the
University
of Mary Hardin-Baylor. While at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor,
she
was a full professor and was the founder of Windhover, a journal of
Christian literature. She also edited the New Texas series with James
Ward Lee, and she was the founder of the writers' festival at the
University of Mary Hardin Baylor. She left UMHB in 2002 and after
several moves has settled in the Waco area where she writes, teaches at
Baylor, and takes care of Tim and the pugs. She resigned from
co-editing The Langdon Review
to devote more time to her writing.
She continues to promote the Langdon Review and Langdon Weekend and
serves on the Editorial Board.
