Residential Living and Learning - Division of Student Life - Tarleton State University

Housing and Meal Plan Charges

Room rates for students in Residential Living & Learning are determined each year for the following academic year. The current residence hall rates shown are valid through May 2009. The family housing and meal plan rates are valid through May 2008. Each on-campus environment includes the following amenities as a part of the rate:

  • High Speed Internet
  • Cable Television
  • Utilities
  • Residential Leader, Residential Coordinator, Office Assistants and Facilities team members available to serve residents

Environments have different bathroom types. A description of the bathroom types are shown below:

  • A community bath is one where students leave their room to access the bathroom and share the bathroom with other students on the same floor. Bender and Ferguson Hall are community bath halls.
  • A suite bath is generally located between two double rooms and used by four residents who live next door to each other. Hunewell, Hunewell Annex, and Crockett are suite bath halls.
  • A private bath is one that is for the private use of only those students occupying the room or apartment. Traditions, Centennial and apartments are private bath environments.

At times we are able to offer private rooms when space is available. Private rates are reflected for each hall although private spaces might not be available based on occupancy.

Family Housing is an environment that includes both one and two bedroom apartments. Please contact the office to determine if space is available. The rates for family housing are currently billed on a semester basis and added to the university tuition bill. A monthly calculation is estimated by combining the Fall/Spring and Summer semester rates and dividing the amount by 12 months. This is not an actual rate, but is instead an estimated rate for the purposes of comparison.

Rates shown for family housing are the 2007-2008 rates. Rates for the 2008-2009 academic year will be posted as soon as they are available.
