Spring 2010 Assignment 1 (5% of final grade): Students will be required to find 10 peer-reviewed journal articles over a topic of their choosing and create a properly formatted bibliography. Although each journal has its own style of formatting, students must use the formatting provided below to receive full credit. Refer to Chapter 2 of your textbook (Pechenik 2007) for more details on locating useful sources. Assignment 2 (10% of final grade): Students will be required to write a clear and concise summary of their 10 articles. Refer to Chapter 7 (Pechenik 2007) of your textbook for more details on writing summaries. Assignment 3 (15% of final grade): Students will be required to write a review paper that summarizes the current state of knowledge in regards to their particular topic. Refer to Chapter 8 (Pechenik 2007) of your textbook for more details on a synthesis paper.
