Annual Membership Meeting

In accordance with the Constitution, the Friends will hold our annual membership meeting on Thursday, September 9, 1999 at 6:30pm (7:00pm for business meeting) in the Hall of Presidents on the Tarleton State University campus. There will be an appetizer buffet served from 6:30 to 7:00. The TSU Woodwind Ensemble is scheduled to play during the serving of the buffet. Look for more detailed information in the mail concerning this event. The purpose of this meeting is fourfold.

First, the current officers and committee chairpersons will provide the membership with a brief summary report of last year's efforts and a preview of the upcoming year's goals.

Second, the membership will vote on proposed changes to the Constitution and By-Laws. Copies of the proposed changes will be distributed at the meeting.

Third, officers and board of directors for 1999-2000 will be elected. If you are interested in an officer or board position, please attend the meeting.

Fourth, our guest speaker is Dr. Tom Pilkington. He will briefly discuss his new publication, State of Mind. Additionally, he will have copies available for signing after his talk.

If you would like more information about the annual meeting, please contact Ann Albrecht at 968-9946 or Pat Cockerell at 968-9938.
