Annual Membership Meeting

In accordance with the Constitution, the Friends will hold our annual membership meeting on Thursday, September 17, 1998 at 7:00pm (6:30 for refreshments) in Multipurpose Room of the Dick Smith Library. The purpose of this meeting is twofold. First, the current officers and committee chairpersons will provide the membership with a brief summary report of last year's efforts and a preview of the upcoming year's goals.

Second, the membership will vote on proposed changes to the Constitution and By-Laws. Copies of the proposed changes will be distributed at the meeting. If you would like to review a copy of the proposed changes prior to the meeting, please contact Dr. Frank Ewell at 968-9440. The major proposed changes concern increasing the number of board members and revising the committee structure.

Speaking of committees, the strength of the Friends lie within its members. Therefore, your personal involvement in the Friends is critical to our organization's long-term success. Please complete the "tear off" form below and become involved in one of our committees. Descriptions of the Friend's standing committees are included on the other side of this newsletter. If you would like more information about the committee, contact the committee's chairperson(s).

If you would like more information about the annual meeting, please contact Ann Albrecht at 968-9946.
