The Spring "Dinner in the Stacks", will be held on Saturday, April 18, 1998 at 7:00pm (6:30 for appetizers) in the Dick Smith Library. The featured speaker will be Dr. Mary Jane Mingus, Professor Emeritus. See the enclosed flyer for important details concerning this exciting event. If you have not attended a "Dinner in the Stacks", you have been missing a great evening of fun.

Again this Spring, the Friends will sponsor its annual Bake Sale, in front of the Dick Smith Library, on Monday, May 4, 1998 from 8:00am until all the "goodies" are gone. If you would be willing to assist in the Bake Sale by either staffing the table or creating something delicious, please contact Frank Ewell at
968-9440.

The Board of Directors invites each Friend to become involved in one or more of our committees. The strength of the Friends lies within its membership. Therefore, your active involvement in the organization will only make us better. The Board of Directors of the Friends of the Dick Smith Library is composed of members from various backgrounds and interests. It is this diversity that provides the Board with strength and vitality.
