Employment
Federal and State Work Study The Federal and State College Work Study Programs provide on-campus, part-time employment for U.S. citizens, permanent residents and certain other non-citizens who are half-time students and have a demonstrated financial need. Students who attend the University during the summer session only are not eligible for this program. The maximum amount a recipient may earn under this program is determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students employed under this program are paid at least minimum wage and may work up to 20 hours per week (depending upon financial aid award and class schedule). Federal and State Work Study funds are distributed on a bi-weekly payroll basis. It is the responsibility of the student to notify his/her employer of the work study award. Students may visit the Student Financial Aid Office to verify eligibility. Supervisors and students are encouraged to work together to monitor earnings and avoid exceeding the award.
