The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, ABET, is the recognized accreditor for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology.  It is comprised of 30 professional and technical societies representing these fields and has provided leadership and quality assurance in higher education for over 70 years.  ABET currently accredits some 2,500 programs at over 550 colleges and universities nationwide.

The Environmental Engineering program at Tarleton State is presently undergoing the ABET accreditation process. It is our belief that this program possesses the academic rigor, educational quality, professional development opportunities and faculty mentoring needed to be worthy of this prestigious title.
