Scholarship Opportunities
There are a number of different scholarship opportunities available
through Army ROTC which are awarded on a highly competitive selection
basis. Scholarships benefits are the following:
* Pays Full tuition and Mandatory Fees
* $1200 per year book allowance
* Cash stipend (Tax free pay) in the amount of $300 per month for MS Is,
$350 for MS IIs, $450 for MS IIIs, and $500 for MS IVs
In addition, ROTC scholarship awardees can qualify for room and board
grants of up to $1500.00 from Tarleton State University. In addition
to room and board grants, there are also local scholarships such as
the Dyess and Jeffers Scholarship foundations, which are specifically
available to members of the TSU ROTC Program.
Army ROTC offers four-year and three-year advanced designee scholarships
to high school seniors. If you are a High School Senior or Junior interested
in applying for one of these scholarships contact your school's guidance
counselor or the call the phone number below. You can apply on line
by going to 4-yr Scholarship Application and creating an account that
will allow you to fill out the application form, or you can check your
application status on line by going to Scholorship Application Status.
We also have three-year and two-year ROTC scholarships available to
students already on campus. The applications for these scholarships
are available at the Department of Military Science located on the Tarleton
State University - Central Texas campus.
Scholarship cadets, in addition to their normal studies, take prescribed
military science courses, participate in scheduled leadership labs,
and attend the Leadership Development Assessment Course between their
Junior and Senior years.
Graduate students also have a new and exciting way to fund their master’s
degree under the New Army Masters Degree Scholarship Program.
Tarleton Army ROTC works closely with prior service soldiers through
the Army Green to Gold program. This program is designed to offer Enlisted
Soldiers in the Army the opportunity to earn a commission as an Army
Officer. The Texan Battalion has many combat veterans currently participating
in the program through Green to Gold.
