For Parents
When your son or daughter joins the Texan Battalion we understand that
their welfare is of the utmost importance to you. We are committed as
an organization to the welfare and well being of our cadets in all aspects
of their life on and off campus. Our goal is to inspire in them a very
high sense of the importance of ethical behavior, responsibility, and
academic excellence.
We are dedicated in all aspects of the Texan Battalion ROTC program
to live the Army values and instill in those who aspire to a career
as an Army officer the importance of these values. These values, simply
stated are described by the acronym LDRSHIP….Loyalty, Duty, Respect,
Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. These are
not just words - they are part of our Soldier’s Creed and are
the building blocks of character forged leadership. We are committed
to these values as a way of life.
We give you our commitment to provide the best leadership, mentorship
and care to your son or daughter when they join the Texan Battalion.
Thank you for entrusting us with this responsibility.
