The browse images use Landsat 7 bands 5, 4 and 3 as red, green and blue. Using this band combination healthy vegetation appears bright green, urban areas show up as patches of light purple and bare soil is displayed in shades of brown.

An example of a sand-starved desert, the Great Sandy in Western Australia contains aeolian sand dunes that stretch for a hundred miles, ephemeral lakes in the center and lower right, and light-colored scars from brush fires at the top of the image.
The 24 by 48 statute mile iceberg -- approximately the size of Rhode Island -- is drifting off the southern coast of Argentina at a speed of about 7 to 9 miles per day. The true danger to mariners is not B10A itself, but the kilometer-wide smaller icebergs breaking off as it melts. In the browse image Landsat 7 bands 5, 4 and 3 represent red, green and blue respectively. With that combination ice appears blue-white, high clouds are white, low fog shows up as grays and browns, and water is shown nearly black.

Full Resolution of smaller icebergs breaking away.
This full resolution (30-meter/pixel) sub-scene shows smaller icebergs breaking off ('calving') from Iceberg B10A. This scene uses bands 3, 2 and 1 for red, green, and blue. This provides a "true color" representation
