Key Points to Remember

  • Applications are due by 5:00 pm on day of deadline
  • Submit completed applications in Suite 101, Math Building
  • You need an advisor's signature on checklist, certificate plan, and substitution forms (if required)
  • If you have an additional certification field, you will also need that advisor's signature on the certificate plan

Requirements

To be Completed by the END of the application semester:
  • 4 English courses with C or better
  • Communications with B or better 
  • PSY 303 or 220 or HS 300 with C or better 
  • EDU 320 with C or better 
  • Completion of 12 hours or more in Major Certification Field
  • No grade lower than a C in Major Certification Field, Additional Certification Field, or in Professional Development
  • GPA of 2.6 or higher in Major Certification Field, Additional Certification Field, or in Professional Development
  • GPA of 2.6 or higher on overall Certification Plan
  • Passing of all three parts of THEA.  (Accuplacer, Asset, and Compass will also be accepted.
