Shanghai University

Whitney Amburn, John Banner, and India Crain traveled to Shanghai, China May 12- July 3, 2008 to participate in an internship program at Shanghai University. Their study abroad trip included four weeks of intensive study at Shanghai University in Chinese language and business practices. During their stay they were given the opportunity to tour both the Shanghai Volkswagen dealership and Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Following their studies, John Banner and India Crain conducted their internships at HMG Logistics, while Whitney Amburn interned with TNT, a direct marketing firm.

Wendell Hollingsworth, Plant Manager for the Stephenville branch of Fibergrate Composite Structures, arranged for Daniel Garcia and Chris Windham to participate in an internship with Fibergrate in Queretaro, Mexico for eight weeks during the 2008 summer.

Fibergrate’s local Stephenville plant provided training to prepare the interns for their job prior to departure.

Quality Inspection was the focus of the interns’ job duties while working in Mexico.
Interns were also given the opportunity to teach the English language to executives from the Mexico plant of Fibergrate.
