The department of agricultural services and development was designed with the flexibility to create career programs for students.
Included are programs to certify one to teach agricultural science,
qualify for government agricultural positions (including Texas AgriLife
Extension), and prepare as a professional in agricultural sales and
service, agricultural communication and promotion, management of agricultural systems, international agricultural opportunities, or in the
production of agricultural products. Students with
agricultural science, FFA, 4-H, or science courses in high school
have excellent backgrounds for the programs. Internships are a part
of most options.
