Tarleton offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art with an option for all-level art certifi cation. In-depth studies in drawing and painting are available with introductory classes in other areas such as sculpture, print making, and crafts. Core classes in art history are a required part of the art curriculum.

The Tarleton art program offers high quality studio art instruction with all art classes taught by senior faculty. The art degree prepares students for careers as artists and designers while enhancing their creative skills. All students produce a portfolio of art work demonstrating their skills and have opportunities to exhibit and publish their work while at Tarleton.

The BFA in art is the preferred degree for professional artists and students considering graduate studies in art. Tarletonʼs art program combines experienced, professional faculty with small classes so that each student receives personal attention. Faculty help their students to customize the degree to individual talents and career goals. Opportunities for scholarships are available.
