Dr. Roger D. Wittie

Assistant Professor of Range and Ranch Management at Tarleton State University. Dr. Wittie received his B.S. from Texas A&M University, M.S. from the University of Wyoming, and Ph.D. from New Mexico State University in 1991. All degrees were in Range Management. He was employed as a reclamation consultant in Wyoming and as an Extension Agriculturalist in Nebraska after completing his Ph.D. Dr. Wittie's professional activities have included President of the Range Science Education Council, Faculty of the Center for Grazing Lands Management, service to the Society for Range Management, and others. His primary responsibilities at Tarleton focus on undergraduate and graduate teaching. His research emphasis is grassland and fire ecology.
