Agronomy & Range Mgmt. - Agronomy Support Area
This degree offers a study of soil management and conservation, the physical properties of soils, plant production requirements, genetics and crop improvement, agricultural pesticides and their uses and related factors associated with food, feed, and fiber production. Graduates often are employed in state and federal governmental agencies, and with public and private farming enterprises. Environmental awareness has sparked an increase in demand for qualified individuals in this area. Many B.S. graduates choose to pursue graduate studies within crops and soils.
