Ashley C. Lovell
Professor of Agricultural Economics and Head of the Department of Agribusiness, Agronomy, Horticulture, and Range Management. Dr. Lovell received his B.S. from Tarleton State University and M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Agricultural Economics. He was licensed as a CPA in Texas following accounting study at Texas A&M University and Tarleton State University. Following his prior appointment at Tarleton, he was an Extension Economist in Management with the Department of Agricultural Economics and the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, Texas A&M University from 1978-1993. Areas of specialization include financial, managerial and tax accounting, business management computer applications, and risk management. He has authored numerous publications and received the Texas Agricultural Extension Service's highest recognition, the Individual Superior Service Award in 1991 and the Team Supervisor Service Award in 1993.
