Campus Tours
We look forward to seeing and visiting with you!
Prospective students and their parents are encouraged to visit the campus. This program is designed to assist high school students in becoming acquainted with university facilities and departments. Tours are conducted through the The Office of School Relations. These tours are guided by trained current undergraduate students.
Note: The Office of School Relations and the Texan Reps host a campus preview day called Texan Tour. One is held in the Fall and one in the Spring, for more information please visit our Texan Tour site.
Tours originate from the Welcome Center/ Office of School Relations. We are in the Tarleton Center across from Subway on Washington Street. The Welcome Center is located behind the Administration Building (building with large arched window) to the right side. (We will be closed for Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Holidays, Martin Luther King Jr.,Spring Break, Labor Day and Christmas Holidays). Next closing date: We will host one tour on Wednesday, November 25 at 11:00am. The University will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving Holiday- no tours will be available.
Please note that there are dates that University Resident Halls will not be available to show due to student move-in, move-out and cleaning dates. See closing Dates... click here Available Show Room Dates.
Currently our residence halls are at capacity and there are NO show rooms available - however, we are able to show the lobbies of each residence hall. Please view the Housing website - Residential Living and Learning at www.tarleton.edu/housing

What you need to know
- The tour is a walking tour and gives an overview of the campus, which takes approximately 1 1/2 hours.
- Please call to make your reservation before coming to visit campus.
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tour.
- There are Welcome Center parking Spaces and 30 minute spaces for your convenience in the parking lot directly in front of our office and is located across from the Subway on Washington St. (more parking information and locations)
- If you are using a College Day and need a letter stating you visited the Tarleton campus, you are required to attend one of the tours.
