food pantry drive
Upward Bound is collecting food for the Tarleton Food Pantry. You may drop off donations at the November 21st UB meeting between 9 am and 1 pm in the Grant Building or drop it off at the UB office during office hours. The UB office is located in Davis Hall, room 101. Ideal donations include packaged chicken and tuna, packaged and microwavable rice and pasta, protein and cereal bars, instant oatmeal bowls, and packaged snacks. Thank you in advance for your donation. Let's get the Tarleton Food Pantry stocked in time for final exams!!!
Upward Bound Student Recruiting Scheduled for October-December
Tarleton Upward Bound will begin the student recruitment process in October. To be eligible for the Upward Bound Program, students must attend one of the target high schools, be in the 9th or 10th grade, and meet first generation and/or low-income criteria. Application packets will be available October 5th. A representative from the Upward Bound staff will visit the target schools in October to conduct informational sessions and disseminate application packets. Visitor meeting dates are set for November 7, November 21, and December 5. Click the Perspective Student link to print application packets and to learn more about the application process. Also, be sure to bring a parent with you to the meeting so that they can attend the Parent Informational Session.
UB Alum Inspires Students
Ms. Leal is a former Tarleton Upward Bound participant from DeLeon and a graduate of Tarleton State University. Senior Parents- a financial aid workshop is scheduled for Saturday, December 12th from 9:15-10:15 a.m. More information will be mailed to you as the date gets closer.
