Student/Parent Workshops- September 13
Upward Bound will begin the academic year with workshops for students and parents on a variety of topics including financial aid, applying to colleges, SAT/ACT, dual credit and AP course information, and study skills. Workshops will be offered in English and Spanish. Workshops will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Hope to see you there!
Calling All UB Alumni Who Are Public School Educators
Upward Bound will be honoring it's alumni who are public school educators during the 2014 Tarleton Homecoming celebration. We do not want to miss anyone in our celebration so please let us know if you are currently working in public school education. Upward Bound 50th Anniversary
Upward Bound is a federal program that began in 1964 as part of Lyndon B. Johnson's War on Poverty. There are over 800 Upward Bound programs nation wide serving more than 59,000 low-income, first generation college students. Learn more about the Upward Bound Program and our great legacy in providing equal access to higher education.
All students - 3 week progress reports are due at the September 27th meeting.
Applications for Upward Bound will be available on October 1st. An Upward Bound representative will visit your school during October. First visitor meeting is November 1st.
