Tarleton Society of Engineering Technology
About T.S.E.T.
Tarleton Society of Engineering Technology (TSET) is a social, service, and professional society with membership open to any one in the department of Engineering Technology. The members of TSET demonstrate an attitude of professional interest and involvement in the classroom as well as on the TSU campus. The society is active in professional development and provides leadership development through seminars, sponsored meetings, guest lectures and industry tours that enhance professional education of its members
Tarleton Society of Engineering Technology offers students the opportunity to interact with others who all share common interests. This allows students to be involved with others who are in the College of Science and Technology. Through monthly meetings, events, power lunches, field trips, and many activities outside the classroom that allow students to develop long lasting relationships with fellow Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, and Industrial Occupations majors. By allowing students to come together and associate with one another in this organization, this not only expands their creative thinking but that of the faculty advisors as well. In addition, the interaction with the faculty members within Engineering Technology helps to ensure that this club and department is more like a family.
